Gold Soars on Weaker Dollar Bounce
Spot gold has rebounded strongly after a recent decline, climbing 0.6% to reach $4,376.02 an ounce by 1:09 p.m. GMT on Friday.
This gain helped the precious metal secure a weekly increase of around 0.7%, marking a recovery from its previous session's 1.3% drop.
The upward momentum was triggered by a weaker dollar, which had boosted gold prices. US gold futures also rose 0.3% to settle at $4,433.90 an ounce.
Other precious metals followed suit, with spot silver advancing 1% to $65.08 an ounce, platinum increasing by 0.9% to $1,733.34, and palladium gaining 0.9% to reach $1,318.50.
