Gold Stalls Ahead of Fed Rate Decision Amid Low Probability Hike
Gold prices remained relatively stable on Wednesday, hovering around $4,020 an ounce. This level is near its lowest since November 2025, but not significantly changed from the previous session.
Investors are waiting for the Federal Reserve's policy decision, which is expected to leave interest rates unchanged. However, markets are pricing in a roughly 35% chance of a 25-basis-point hike today and an 80% probability of an increase in September.
The Bank of England and the Bank of Japan are also expected to keep their rates unchanged this week while maintaining a cautious stance on inflation.
