Gold Stays Above ₹1.5 Lakh, Silver Remains Elevated Amid Global Market Trends
Gold and silver prices in India remained steady on August 11, with 24K gold trading at around ₹1.53 lakh per 10 grams and silver at approximately ₹2.45 lakh per kilogram.
The rates varied across cities and changed throughout the day.
According to the latest data available, 24K gold was priced at ₹15,334 per gram or ₹1,53,340 per 10 grams. The indicative 22K rate worked out to around ₹14,056 per gram or ₹1,40,556 per 10 grams.
The prices of both precious metals were influenced by global market trends, with gold rising for a third consecutive session due to expectations surrounding the US Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook. The quoted bullion rates did not include applicable GST and making charges, which varied depending on the jeweller and design.
