Gold Surges to ₹1.52 Lakh Per 10 Grams as Silver Hits ₹2.30 Lakh Per Kg

Gold prices in India have been on the rise, reaching ₹1,52,000 per 10 grams, according to MCX data from August 7. The latest available session showed a strong movement, with gold futures closing at around ₹1.52 lakh per 10 grams. This represents a 2.01% increase from the previous close of ₹1,48,858.

The indicative national gold rate is around ₹1,49,860 per 10 grams for 24K gold and ₹1,38,990 per 10 grams for 22K gold, with some August 8 data putting the rates at about ₹15,087 per gram and ₹13,819 per gram respectively.

Silver prices have also been rising, currently trading around ₹2.30 lakh per kg in the retail market. The MCX silver price is around ₹2.27 lakh per kg for the August 31 contract, with Economic Times data recording a SilverM contract at ₹2,27,493.
