GoldMining Inc. Soars on São Jorge PEA Amid Bullish Gold Market
GoldMining Inc., a Toronto-listed project developer, has been gaining attention due to its distinctive model of acquiring and advancing gold resources through exploration and studies. Rather than operating mines, GoldMining aims to add value before construction, making it a call option on both the gold price and its ability to de-risk projects.
The company's recent catalyst is the positive preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its São Jorge project in Brazil, announced on June 11, 2026. The study outlined an after-tax net present value of approximately US$532 million and an internal rate of return of about 42%, based on a gold-price assumption of US$3,500 per ounce.
GOLD's financial position is also noteworthy, with roughly US$183 million in cash and securities as of mid-2026, leaving the company debt-free. This strong treasury reduces near-term financing pressure and provides flexibility to advance studies and exploration without immediately diluting shareholders.
