Grain and Energy Markets Rally Amid Global Supply Constraints
Corn prices surged to a new three-year high on September 1, 2026, as the corn futures market bulls accelerated their pace. December corn rose by 8 1/4 cents to $5.46, near its daily high, and broke another contract record.
The fundamental picture remains bullish for corn, with charts also firmly in favor of higher prices. Fresh U.S. bean sales to China contributed to the rally in the soybean market, which saw November soybeans rise by 29 3/4 cents to $13.17 3/4 and hit a two-year high.
Wheat futures markets experienced more buying interest due to Black Sea supply constraints, with December SRW rising by 8 1/2 cents to $7.82 1/2 and hitting a contract and three-year high.
