Grain and Livestock Futures Markets Soar on Yield Disruptions
The grain and livestock futures markets are experiencing significant gains due to falling yields, strong demand, and disruptions in Black Sea exports.
Ahead of the close on Friday, corn, wheat, and soybeans reached new contract highs. Funds have been buying up grain, soy, and soy product futures in large quantities.
The U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.540, while December gold is down $139.90 per ounce. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has also seen a significant increase of 226.99 points.
