Grain Futures Surge as Corn Prices Continue Rally
Grain futures surged on Tuesday, defying expectations as corn prices continued their upward trend and soybeans rebounded from Monday's losses.
Corn was the standout performer, with September contracts gaining 9 cents to finish at $5.00-and-a-half, while December added 8 cents to $5.23-and-a-half.
The market's strength is attributed to lower crop expectations following last week's Pro Farmer Crop Tour, which has led to increased demand and tighter supplies.
Soybeans also posted significant gains, with September contracts increasing by 12 cents to $12.28 and November rallying 13-and-a-half cents to $12.37-and-three-quarters.
The grain complex as a whole recorded another strong session, led by the continued strength in corn and a solid rebound in soybeans.
