Grain Market Sees Mixed Results Amid Global Disruptions
The agricultural commodities market saw mixed results on July 30, 2026. December corn futures fell 3 1/4 cents to $4.68 1/2, hitting a two-week low as profit-taking and weak long liquidation weighed on the market.
Soybeans also declined, with November soybeans dropping 4 cents to $11.88 3/4, near the daily low and a three-week low. The soybean meal futures market paused amid price downdrafts, while bean oil continued to see technical selling pressure and weak long liquidation.
In contrast, wheat futures rose modestly, with September SRW increasing 2 3/4 cents to $6.63 1/2 and September HRW rising 5 1/4 cents to $7.30 3/4. The winter wheat market saw a bounce due to reports that the Black Sea region is nearly closed to grain shipping.
Cotton futures rebounded from Wednesday's losses, gaining 114 points to 80.67 cents as technical buying and a weaker U.S. dollar index supported the market.
