Grain Prices in Western Canada Vary Widely by Region

A new report from PDQ, owned by the Alberta Wheat Commission, has revealed average grain prices in Western Canada as of September 3, 2026. According to the data, Peace region producers are receiving $319.81 per metric tonne for CWRS, while N Alberta is seeing $330.83.

The report also highlights varying prices across different regions and types of grains. In S Alberta, CDA is being sold at $783.50, while in NW Sask, CPSR is priced at $769.60.

Producers are advised to check with multiple grain companies for basis levels in their area as these figures may not reflect the actual prices they receive.
