Grains and Livestock Futures Markets See Movement on August 10
DTN's Quick Takes reported on August 10, 2026, that the grains and livestock futures markets have seen some movement. As of 8:39 AM CDT, December corn was down by 1 cent per bushel, while November soybeans were up by half a cent. September Kansas City wheat saw an increase of 8.75 cents, with both September Chicago wheat and September MIAX wheat also rising, albeit at lower rates. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 111.49 points.
The USDA announced private exporters had reported sales of 105,000 metric tons (4.5 mb) of corn for delivery to unknown destinations during the 2025-26 marketing year. Corn and bean prices have given up early gains and are now trading near unchanged levels. Wheat futures, however, continue to trade higher but at lower rates than their morning highs.
In other commodities, October live cattle were up by $0.53 per pound at $225.8, while September feeder cattle rose by $0.68 to reach $345.9. The cash cattle market was quiet with no bids or asking prices present on Monday's start.
