Grains and Livestock Markets Experience Mixed Trade on August 6th
As of August 6th, 2026, at 8:34 AM CDT, the grains and livestock futures markets are experiencing mixed trade. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up by 131.55 points.
The U.S. Dollar Index has increased by 0.110, while September crude oil is up by $0.97 per barrel. December gold has also risen, increasing by $4.10 per ounce.
December corn is currently down 3/4 cent per bushel, but November soybeans are up 1 1/4 cents. The prices for September KC wheat and September Chicago wheat have changed, with the former decreasing by 1 1/2 cents and the latter increasing by 3/4 cent.
The USDA has reported private exporters' sales of 122,000 mt (4.5 million bushels) of soybeans to China for the 2026/2027 season.
In the livestock complex, October live cattle are up $0.23 at $229.7, while September feeder cattle are up $0.15 at $348.525. In contrast, October lean hogs are down $0.15 at $82.875 and December corn is down 1/2 cent per bushel.
