Grains End Overnight Session Lower Amid Flash Sales and Iran Tensions
The overnight session for grains ended on a negative note, following initial gains. The soy complex was among those affected, with flash sales of soybeans and meal potentially providing support.
According to Pro Farmer, the USDA reported that it had made flash sales of 136,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2026/27 marketing year, as well as 180,000 MT of soybean meal for delivery to the Philippines.
Dr. Michael Cordonnier's weekly report left his 2026 U.S. corn yield unchanged at 181.0 bu/ac with a neutral bias, citing favorable weather conditions. He also maintained a neutral bias for the 2026 U.S. soybean yield at 52.0 bu/ac.
President Trump's stance on Iran was also noted in the report, as he demanded reparations for past attacks and hinted at further economic pressure being applied to the country.
