Grains, Livestock Futures Markets See Price Fluctuations Amidst Global Tensions
The agriculture and commodity markets are experiencing fluctuations in prices as of July 30th. The USDA announced that private exporters reported sales of 132,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/2027 period. This news has contributed to an increase in price for December corn by 2 cents per bushel and November soybeans by 3 3/4 cents.
The wheat market is also seeing a surge due to the Ukrainian attack on a major Russian export terminal and four vessels. As a result, September KC wheat is up 19 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 15 1/4 cents, and September MIAX wheat is up 0.1400 cents.
The livestock futures market is also experiencing changes, with October live cattle up $1.85 at $225.825 and September feeder cattle up $2.90 at $341.55. However, October lean hogs are down $0.85 at $84.85.
