Grains Rebound as Wheat Prices Firm Amid Export Restrictions
Thursday's grain and livestock futures market updates show mixed results across various commodities. The price of December corn has decreased by 2 1/4 cents per bushel, while November soybeans have dropped by 5 1/2 cents. In contrast, wheat prices have increased, with December Kansas City wheat up 3/4 cent and December Chicago wheat up 2 1/2 cents.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has declined by 55.94 points, and the U.S. Dollar Index is down 0.080. However, October crude oil prices have risen by $0.39 per barrel, and December gold prices are down $8.90 per ounce. The recent surge in corn and soybeans prices from Wednesday's sharp gains has been partially corrected.
In the livestock sector, October live cattle futures are up $2.28 at $213.05, while October feeder cattle contracts have increased by $3.90 at $318.15. However, October lean hogs remain steady at $80.925. The recent lower closes in the cattle complex have been supported by traders lending a helping hand.
