GTT, a French engineering firm, has raised its forecast for LNG carrier orders through 2035 due to accelerated investment in liquefaction capacity, particularly in the US.

The company now estimates that it will receive around 550 orders for new gas containment systems by 2035, up from an initial estimate of over 450 units.

This upward revision is attributed to significant investments in LNG capacity, with final investment decisions made on 84 million tons per year of new LNG capacity last year and another 37 million tons in the first half of this year.

GTT's Chief Executive Officer Francois Michel stated that there are 'no signs of slowdown in investment in LNG' despite the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
