Gujarat Ambuja Exports Unveils Rs 333 Crore Greenfield Corn Wet Milling Plant in Karnataka
Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited (NSE:GAEL) has announced plans to establish an 850 TPD greenfield corn wet milling plant at Hubli, Karnataka. The project will be funded entirely through internal accruals, with a total investment of Rs 333 crore. This new facility will produce 400 TPD of corn starch, 150 TPD of sweeteners, and 300 TPD of feed ingredients.
The existing Hubli unit's capacity will increase to 1,600 TPD after the commissioning of this new plant, with a mix of higher-value derivatives and sweeteners. The company aims to complete the project by Q4 FY2029, subject to necessary regulatory approvals and clearances. This expansion is part of Gujarat Ambuja Exports' plan to scale its total corn wet milling capacity to 9,000 TPD by 2030.
