Major liquefied natural gas exporters in the Persian Gulf are adopting tactics typically employed by Russia to get their gas across the Strait of Hormuz.
The move is a response to potential future disruptions in the waterway, which has been impacted by the ongoing Iran war.
QatarEnergy and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) have started 'going dark,' switching off vessel-tracking signals and hiring new crew members who are willing to navigate the strait.
The adjustments also involve replacing captains and crew members who are reluctant to operate in the conflict zone.
