Gulf Tensions Soar as US Imposes Total Blockade on Iranian Oil
A new spiral of air strikes has shattered the calm in the Gulf after the total blockade of Iranian oil. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) conducted precision strikes against Larak Island, targeting two multiple rocket launcher sites that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intended to employ for naval mining.
The strikes also targeted early-warning radar installations, surface-to-air missile batteries, and command nodes. However, ordnance struck civilian settlements in Sirik, killing five people, including a four-year-old child, and wounding dozens.
Iranian armed forces launched coordinated retaliatory barrages across four neighboring territories, targeting US military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq. While Tehran claimed significant enemy casualties, US military officials confirmed that no US personnel were killed or wounded.
