Hanoi Residents Flock to Sell Silver as Prices Fluctuate
As silver prices continue to fluctuate in recent days, many individuals have flocked to silver businesses in Hanoi to sell their holdings. For some, like Ms. Pham Thi Kieu, selling is a necessary decision due to personal financial needs. 'I've been monitoring the market and see prices fluctuating continuously,' she said. 'This time, I decided to sell my 2 kg of silver because I need money for work-related matters.'
Ms. Kieu purchased her silver in mid-July 2025 at a price of approximately 40 million VND/kg. With the current market volatility, she has chosen to cash out rather than hold onto her investment. 'I prioritize solving my work first, not focusing on whether the price can increase or decrease further,' she explained.
Another customer, Mr. Do Trung Tuan, also came to sell his silver due to fluctuating prices and personal financial needs. He stated that today's number of people waiting for transactions is higher than usual, with over 10 individuals still waiting in line after a 30-minute wait. 'The price of silver has continuously fluctuated in recent days, causing me to monitor market developments,' he said.
In contrast, Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Ngoc came to receive her pre-ordered silver but was hesitant about selling it due to the current market conditions. 'Silver prices have fluctuated recently, so I am considering whether to sell or continue to keep it,' she said.
