Harmony Gold Posts Record Profit Amid Share Price Decline
Harmony Gold reported record financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, despite shares falling 2.85% in premarket trading to $21.79.
The company's revenue rose 34% to ZAR 99.2 billion and net profit jumped 102% to ZAR 30 billion, driven by higher gold prices and better operating performance.
Chief Executive Beyers Kruger highlighted the importance of 'discipline' in executing the company's strategy, which he defined as 'operating safely and predictably, maintaining our strict cost controls while the gold price runs, and converting the performance into cash certainty through effective capital allocation.'
