Harouge Oil Boosts Libyan Production with New B79A Well
Harouge Oil Operations has successfully completed the drilling and commissioning of replacement well B79A at its Amal Field in Libya. The well was brought online on August 28, as part of the company's plan to boost production capacity by 2026. The plan involves developing six wells, with B79A being one of them.
The results of testing conducted on August 30 using a test separator confirmed that the well is producing approximately 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day, with a water cut of 4%. This meets the targeted operational outcomes for the well. The company's technical and engineering teams were able to execute drilling and commissioning operations efficiently, adhering to approved technical specifications and the established timeline.
The successful completion of well B79A reflects Harouge Oil Operations' commitment to increasing its production capacity in accordance with its 2026 plan.
