HDFC Mutual Fund Eases Investment Limits on Gold ETF and FoF
HDFC Mutual Fund is lifting its investment limits on Gold ETF and Gold ETF Fund of Fund from August 14, 2026. This decision comes after a two-month restriction on large lumpsum investments and switch-ins due to high demand.
The fund house had capped direct subscriptions of Rs 25 crore or more and placed a ceiling of Rs 10 lakh per PAN per month for the Fund of Fund since June. However, smaller retail investments made via Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) remained unaffected.
The decision to lift these limits suggests that HDFC Mutual Fund now views the current inflow patterns as more manageable and stable. However, investors should remain aware that gold prices are heavily influenced by global geopolitical and economic factors.
