Hecla Mining Stock Climbs on Strong Cash Flow and Record Silver Production
Hecla Mining Company's stock price has risen by 3.55% due to optimism surrounding silver prices and production growth.
In its Q2 2026 earnings report, Hecla Mining missed estimates on revenue and EPS, but saw significant year-over-year improvement in both areas, with revenue increasing by 19% and EPS at $0.17 versus an expected $0.18.
Operating cash flow jumped 61% year over year to $175M, while free cash flow more than doubled to $136M, leaving the company effectively debt-free with $483M in cash and a $225M undrawn revolver.
The company's silver output rose 8% quarter over quarter to 4.2M oz, with Lucky Friday posting record production and free cash flow, resulting in consolidated silver cash costs of -$8.10/oz and AISC of $6.07/oz.
