Hecla Mining (HL) shares rose 3.6% on August 15, 2026, as silver prices reached $65 per ounce, significantly boosting the miner's 2026 margins.

The gain in Hecla's stock price comes after September silver closed at $64.988, a 2.61% weekly increase and nearly quadruple the company's projected AISC maximum of $16.25.

This translates to an approximate $48.74 per-ounce margin ahead of any corporate expenses and taxes, making Hecla's financial position more robust despite a slight decline in output.

The miner estimates silver production between 15.1 million and 16.5 million ounces for 2026, representing a 7.2% decrease from the previous year's levels.
