Hindustan Copper Government Stake Sale Begins Amid Market Uncertainty

Hindustan Copper is set to be the government's ninth Offer for Sale (OFS) in FY27, following LIC, Cochin Shipyard, IRFC, GIC RE and Coal India Ltd.

The government will sell a 6% stake in Hindustan Copper at a floor price of Rs 514 per share, with non-retail investors bidding first on August 25, 2026. The offer will take place during trading hours on a separate window of the stock exchanges, commencing at 9:15 am and closing at 3:30 pm Indian Standard Time.

Eligible employees will receive 25,000 additional shares, equivalent to 0.0026% of the total issued and paid-up equity share capital, with each employee able to apply for up to Rs 5,00,000 worth of equity shares.
