Hindustan Copper Offers Discounted Stake Sale Amid Ongoing Disinvestment
The Indian government has launched an offer to sell up to 6% of its stake in Hindustan Copper at a floor price of Rs 514 per share. This discount is about 10.5% lower than the current market rate, which was Rs 574.15 on Monday.
The sale aims to help the government reach its annual fiscal targets and is structured to provide flexibility, with an initial 3% stake being sold and a green shoe option to sell an additional 3% if demand remains strong.
About 10% of the offer has been reserved for retail investors, who can subscribe through their brokers. Additionally, a specific tranche of 25,000 shares has been set aside for eligible employees of the company.
