Hindustan Copper Seeks Strategic Partnership with Uzbekistan in Critical Minerals
Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has taken another step towards strengthening international cooperation in the critical minerals sector by exploring a strategic partnership with Uzbekistan. Anupam Misra, Chairman and Managing Director of HCL, held a productive meeting with Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to discuss potential avenues for long-term collaboration.
The meeting assumes considerable importance as critical minerals have emerged as a cornerstone of global economic growth, clean energy transitions, advanced manufacturing, and technological innovation. Nations across the world are actively seeking strategic partnerships to secure reliable supply chains for these essential resources, making international cooperation increasingly vital.
Hindustan Copper, India's only vertically integrated copper-producing public sector enterprise, is looking to expand its international partnerships in line with the country's broader vision of securing access to strategic mineral resources while supporting industrial growth and economic resilience. The collaboration could open new possibilities for technology exchange, investments, and sustainable resource development.
