Hindustan Copper Surges 163% as India Faces Copper Supply Gap
Hindustan Copper posted a significant profit jump in Q1 FY27, with its profit attributable to owners increasing by 163% year-over-year (YoY) to ₹353 crore. Revenue from operations also rose sharply by 81.4% YoY to ₹936.5 crore.
The company's EBITDA more than doubled to ₹507.5 crore, with the reported EBITDA margin expanding to 54% from 41% a year earlier.
This earnings surprise comes as India faces a structural copper supply gap, creating a second growth angle beyond quarterly numbers.
