Hindustan Copper Surges on Strong Earnings and Soaring Copper Prices
Hindustan Copper stock has seen significant gains over the past year, rising 138% in that timeframe. The state-owned copper producer's shares have also appreciated 302% over three years.
The company's strong Q1 earnings have contributed to its success, with a 162% increase in net profit to Rs 352 crore compared to Rs 134 crore in the same period last year. However, this marks a 20% decline from the previous quarter's net profit of Rs 444.27 crore.
Revenue has also seen a substantial rise, increasing by 81% to Rs 937 crore in Q1 compared to Rs 516 crore in the same period a year ago. This growth is attributed to rising copper prices, which have surged nearly 50% over the past 12 months due to supply constraints and robust demand.
