Hindustan Zinc's CEO Arun Misra forecasts stable zinc and silver prices for the next few quarters. He predicts that zinc will trade within a narrow band of $100 per tonne over the next three quarters, while silver is expected to remain steady at around $60 per troy ounce with limited volatility.

The company's production costs are also expected to decrease, with Misra targeting costs below $1,000 per tonne. Hindustan Zinc has already achieved its lowest cost of production in the last three to four years due to stronger sulphuric acid realisations, which have offset the impact of higher coal and diesel prices.

The company aims to maintain its position as one of the world's lowest-cost zinc producers, supported by increased production volumes and stronger by-product realisations. Hindustan Zinc reported revenues of ₹13,747 crore and net profit of ₹5,469 crore in the April-June quarter (Q1FY27), with margins of 58.56%.
