Hormozgan Oil Pollution Cleanup Completes After One-Week Effort
Iran has completed a cleanup operation to remove oil pollution from its southern Hormozgan province coast, according to local authorities. The operation targeted the areas around Suza and Shib Deraz, where residents first reported the issue on August 11.
Hamidreza Mohammadhosseini Takhti, acting head of Hormozgan's ports and maritime department, said that thanks to round-the-clock efforts from operational teams and cooperation with relevant authorities and local communities, the cleanup has been completed. The coastline is now under constant monitoring.
