Hormuz Deal Uncertainty Keeps Oil Traders on Edge

Oil traders are exercising caution as negotiations over the proposed deal for the management of the Strait of Hormuz continue to drag on. According to recent reports, Iran and Oman are discussing the details of the agreement, with President Trump stating that talks are ongoing but providing no additional details.

Markets had previously expected a deal to be announced this week, but negotiations have proven complicated, leaving traders uncertain about the near-term outcome.

As a result, oil prices are experiencing choppy trading sessions, with WTI oil fluctuating between gains and losses. From a technical standpoint, WTI oil is attempting to settle above the resistance level at $77.50, $78.00, with a break above this level potentially leading to further price increases.

However, for now, traders are not ready to make big moves ahead of the weekend, and oil prices will likely remain volatile until more clarity emerges on the negotiations' outcome.
