Hormuz Oil Flow Surpasses Pre-War Levels Amid US Military Assistance

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright reported that oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz reached 17 million barrels on Monday, surpassing pre-war levels.

This figure marks a peak not seen since hostilities with Iran broke out in late February.

Wright attributed the increase to U.S. military assistance for tankers transiting the waterway.

The security situation remains volatile, with Tehran insisting that Hormuz will stay closed until Washington meets its conditions under a June 17 interim agreement.
