Hot Weather Fails to Boost Natural Gas Prices
Natural gas futures lost ground on Thursday despite unseasonably hot near-term forecasts and significant year-over-year storage deficits in multiple regions, according to a report from Natural Gas Intelligence.
The EIA reported a 30 Bcf storage build, but natural gas prices failed to rally. In fact, October futures briefly tested above $3 before falling back.
The scorching September weather is expected to continue, but the market's reaction has been muted so far.
