Houthi Attack Shuts Down Saudi Aramco's Jazan Oil Refinery
Saudi Aramco's Jazan oil refinery in Saudi Arabia was forced to shut down on July 27 after an attack by Yemen's Houthi militants.
The refinery, which has a daily output of 400,000 barrels, sustained damage to its Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) complex and tank farm area.
Aramco expects to complete repairs and restart the plant by August 15. The attack marked a second front in the war in the Gulf that has disrupted global supplies.
