Houthi Attacks Push Oil Prices Near $100 Per Barrel Amid Fears of Iranian Involvement

The Middle East conflict escalated on Tuesday, causing oil prices to surge to nearly $100 per barrel. The Houthi militia targeted energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, resulting in 73 civilian injuries, including women and children. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia warned against continued Houthi attacks on innocent civilians and facilities.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that 'The Houthis, in many ways, are agents and proxies of the Iranians. I think behind some of this is clearly the Iranian hand.'

Houthi military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree vowed to continue operations in Saudi Arabia until aggression stops and a siege is lifted from their country.
