Houthi Drone Attack Hits Saudi Aramco Oil Refinery
The Houthi group Ansar Allah claimed responsibility for a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco oil refinery in Jizan on August 9.
According to Yahya Saria, the Houthi military spokesman, the drones struck the production facility directly. The movement described the attack as a response to Saudi drones entering the airspace of the Yemeni provinces of Sa'ada and Hajjah.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Energy confirmed that a fire broke out at the facility in Jizan on August 9, but stated that it was quickly extinguished and there were no casualties. The official cause of the fire has not been disclosed by the Saudi side.
