The Houthi administration in Yemen claimed responsibility for launching drone attacks on Saudi Arabian oil infrastructure on Monday. According to Yahya Saree, Ansar Allah's military spokesman, several drones struck sensitive targets and points involved in the supply and transport of crude oil from eastern Saudi Arabia to Yanbu.

Yanbu is a port city where the Gulf monarchy's East-West pipeline reaches the Red Sea. The Houthi administration stated that their actions were in response to incursions by the kingdom's drones.

The Saudi defence ministry reported intercepting several drones launched by Iran-backed groups in Iraq targeting petroleum facilities, but did not confirm any damage or casualties from the Houthi attacks.
