Houthi Rebels Launch Missile Attacks on Saudi Oil Tankers
The Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen have claimed responsibility for missile attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. The attacks targeted a tanker off the coast of Yanbu, a port city in the kingdom's Red Sea region, and another tanker in the Gulf of Aden.
The Houthis' military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, did not provide details on when the attacks took place. However, he mentioned that the Houthis have imposed a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea since last month in response to what they described as a Saudi siege on Yemen.
