Houthi Rebels Launch Missile Strikes on Saudi Oil Refinery

Houthi rebels in Yemen have launched a series of missile and drone strikes on Sunday, killing at least 11 people and wounding 32 others. The attacks targeted the Saudi oil refinery on the Red Sea coast, with a medical source in Mokha confirming three civilians and eight military personnel were killed.

The incident marks a breakdown of the UN-backed truce in Yemen's civil war between the Houthis and the Saudi-backed government that collapsed last month. The rebels had announced a maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia, hitting Saudi tankers in the Red Sea and the kingdom's oil infrastructure.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group targeted 'Saudi enemy' troops and equipment with missiles and drones, in response to incursions by drones from Saudi Arabia into northwest Yemen. Two military sources confirmed at least eight troops were killed and more than 40 personnel injured.
