Houthi Rebels Target Saudi Oil Refinery with Drone Attack
Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a drone attack on an oil refining center in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The refinery is owned by Saudi Aramco and was targeted after a fire broke out at the facility on Sunday morning.
The Houthi group stated that they had launched drones to target the refinery in response to Saudi Arabia's alleged involvement in Yemen's civil war. Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for the Houthi rebel group, claimed that the action was taken 'in response to the infiltration of Saudi drones in northwestern Yemen.'
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy reported that a fire had been brought under control at the refinery without causing any injuries. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
