Houthi Strikes on Saudi Arabia Wound Over 70, Block Oil Vessels
A wave of attacks by Iran-backed Houthis on Saudi Arabia has left at least 73 people injured, including women and children. The strikes targeted civilian and economic facilities in multiple cities, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran.
The Houthis also announced a blockade of Saudi vessels sailing through the Red Sea, a vital outlet for the kingdom's oil exports. This move aims to disrupt the flow of oil from Saudi Arabia, which is controlled by Aramco. The Red Sea coast has been hit with strikes on oil refineries owned by Aramco.
Ground fighting between the Houthis and forces backed by Saudi Arabia has intensified in Yemen in recent weeks. The conflict has expanded to new areas, with the Houthis using ballistic missiles and drones during their strikes.
