Houthi Strikes on Saudi Base Fuel Oil Price Surge
The escalating conflict in Yemen has taken a dark turn as Houthi rebels launched missile and drone strikes against a Saudi air force base, further threatening global oil supplies.
The attack on Khamis Mushait, near the border with Yemen, damaged aircraft hangars, runways, and ammunition depots. It was reportedly in response to hundreds of strikes by Saudi Arabia against Yemen in recent days.
Meanwhile, a meeting between Iranian representatives and Persian Gulf states scheduled for September 14th has been cancelled. Iran stated that this was done at the request of Saudi Arabia.
