Houthi Strikes Push Oil Prices Near $100 as Iran's Grip Tightens
The Middle East conflict has escalated further, pushing oil prices to nearly $100 per barrel. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Houthi strikes targeting energy infrastructure resulted in 73 civilian injuries, including women and children.
The Houthis have warned of continued operations against Saudi military targets and maritime navigation. In a statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the Trump administration is tracking developments closely and believes 'some of this is clearly the Iranian hand.'
Iranian Supreme National Security Council Director Mohsen Rezaei threatened to extend Iran's grip beyond the Strait of Hormuz, warning that economic warfare would be met with a maritime exclusion zone across the Persian Gulf.
