Houthi Strikes Send Oil Prices Soaring Again
Oil prices surged on Monday, September 14, following new strikes by Yemeni Houthis on Saudi Arabia and Iranian attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
The price jump saw Brent crude oil futures rise by $2.90 (2.77%), reaching $107.51 per barrel, while WTI futures rose by $2.27 (2.27%), to $102.32 per barrel.
The increase occurred despite prices initially rising more than 3% at market open, according to Reuters.
