Houthi Strikes Send Oil Prices Soaring Towards $100 a Barrel

A Houthi missile and drone strike on Saudi Aramco's refinery in Jazan has sent shockwaves through global oil markets, pushing prices towards $100 a barrel.

The attack, which also targeted other facilities including Abha, Najran, the Economic City, and Khamis Mushait Air Base, has raised concerns about the stability of Saudi Arabia's energy network. The Red Sea route is one of the kingdom's last major lifelines for exports to world markets.

Saudi officials have confirmed the attacks and vowed to retaliate. Houthi military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree claimed the strikes were a response to Saudi aggression, citing 121 air strikes on Houthi-held areas in recent days.
