Houthis Claim Airstrikes by Saudi Forces After Attacks on Oil Facilities

Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed that Saudi-backed forces launched dozens of airstrikes overnight across four provinces, including Taiz, Hodeida, Jawf, and Marib. The strikes came after Houthi attacks on several oil facilities and utilities in Saudi Arabia wounded 73 people, marking a major escalation in the conflict.

The Houthis said that no immediate damage or injuries were reported from the airstrikes. However, the incident follows weeks of intensifying clashes between the Houthis and Saudi-backed government forces.

Separately, Iranian state media reported that Iran's forces struck eight oil tankers and two U.S. vessels in retaliation for U.S. strikes on five Iranian tankers on Tuesday. The U.S. Central Command denied that American warships were hit, stating that all 'attempted attacks failed.'
