Houthis Claim Attack on Saudi Oil Facilities Amid Escalating Middle East Conflict

The war in the Middle East continues to escalate as Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels claim they fired missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia. The attack targeted facilities in the Red Sea cities of Yanbu and Jizan, which belong to Aramco, the world's largest oil company.

The Houthis' military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, said the attack was in response to Saudi airstrikes on the strategic Red Sea city of Hodeida. The strikes hit the port and a state-run telecommunications corporation, injuring two people.

Saudi Arabia's civil defense sounded alerts multiple times early Saturday in both cities, but the Kingdom hasn't commented further on the matter.
