Yemen's Houthi group has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea. The group stated that they launched a ballistic missile strike against the Wafa, which was off the coast of the port city of Yanbu.

The Houthi military spokesperson said the attack is part of their ongoing maritime blockade and self-declared Houthi maritime embargo against Saudi shipping lanes. According to the group, nearly 30 Saudi-linked tankers have been forced to turn back or alter their routes.
